Lighting concept inspired by the Blockchain
Since the beginning of 2018, innovative blockchain companies have been able to network and advance tomorrow's technologies together in the "FULL NODE" cooperation and event space in Berlin, covering a total area of 1000 m2. The architects from LXSY worked together with the lighting design office Studio De Schutter to create this environment. The result is a prestige office with a feel-good factor and many individual pieces of furniture and design objects. Individually produced linear luminaires by Barthelme emphasise the varied interior design of closed office spaces and open co-working areas.
All-round light lines for seamless work across areas

The architects and Studio De Schutter worked closely with the client to emphasise the identity of the company and the location. The lighting designers were inspired by the concept of the blockchain, where virtual blocks are linked using cryptographic processes. In the co-working areas, dark grey hanging lines visualise the idea of networking, seeking their way through the corridors, entering the offices and connecting them with each other. This idea was realised with the minimalist aluminium profile CATania 3030 from Barthelme. Translucent and non-transparent covers of the continuous light lines alternate. The resulting mix of dark and light lines create a dynamic atmosphere in the innovative environment of the blockchain community. Due to the design of the profile system and the associated possibilities, the light lines and non-transparent sections could be freely defined. The planners have thus succeeded in ensuring that the luminaires underline the perfectly coordinated overall concept and, as an important design element, unfold their full effect even when switched off. Barthelme LEDlight flex High Efficiency Plus LED strips with a colour temperature of 3000 Kelvin provide the right homogenous light in all areas. They illuminate rooms harmoniously with individually defined luminous intensities. The individual profiles for this project were first modified by the electrical installation company Elaro to suit the local conditions and then powder-coated with the desired RAL colour.

Innovative and flexible environment
In contrast to the Co-Working Area, where there is space for focused working, the Meetup and Café rooms of the FULL NODE are used in a variety of ways. In addition to general operations, it also hosts events, conferences and workshops. For this reason, a flexible lighting solution was chosen, which can be adapted to different requirements. This task was solved with individual luminaires based on the aluminium profile GARgano Grande, which are equipped with RGBW LED strips and controlled via DALI. The lighting designers from Studio De Schutter were able to define and program different colour and work scenes in collaboration with Elaro. The luminaires are suspended in different directions and heights and play with the concept of the innovative and digital companies that inhabit this office space. With the matching semicircular opal diffuser, the individual luminaires achieve homogeneous 180° illumination of the rooms. The colour temperature of the white LED chips on the Barthelme LEDlight flex 16 10 RGBW LED strips used is 3000 Kelvin, as with the LED strips used in the Co-Working area.
