Integrated LED solution for car dealership
Linear lighting solutions are becoming increasingly popular. They create a unique harmony between architectural and furnishing elements. Since 2019, Autohaus Velden has been setting accents in interior and exterior areas with integrated LED light lines from Barthelme, thereby enhancing its brand image.
Autohaus Velden was founded in 2010 by Alexander Armbruster and has been a success story ever since. What began with a workshop and two mechanics is now a modern car dealership with comprehensive service. From vehicle diagnoses and repairs to accident restoration and paintwork to professional tuning, the dealership performs all work in-house and is always at the cutting edge of technology. Most recently, Alexander Armbruster invested in a sophisticated painting center with a pivoting platform in the painting hall, an automatic colour mixing system and colour measuring devices.
Fully encapsulated LED light lines arrayed seamlessly in a row
When it comes to the lighting, Autohaus Velden also invested in innovative technology. Fully encapsulated RGB LED light lines of the AQUALUC series from Barthelme were integrated into the low-profile roof. The flexible linear luminaires were fastened with a matching aluminium holding profile. This simplifies installation as the product can simply be inserted into the profile and is thus securely fastened. The cable routing of the AQUALUC light lines can also be implemented individually from below or from the side using the specially constructed feed system. This enables several modules to be connected in a shadow-free manner to form a single, homogeneous light line over extended lengths. Schäcke's lighting designers at Autohaus Velden made use of this benefit and installed a 120 m long, continuous lighting solution. The RGB version ensures rich colours, which can be set using the Barthelme CHROMOFLEX Pro DALI control unit. "Numerous events are held at the Wörthersee lake. With the new lighting, we can now welcome guests with the colour matching the event and thus contribute our part to the occasion says Alexander Armbrüster. " Apart from that, the car dealership shines in our company colour, which has a positive influence on our brand identity." The fully encapsulated LED light lines of the AQUALUC series are available in different designs, with different outputs, as RGB version and RGBW versions, in different colour temperatures and on request also as single colours. AQUALUC light lines feature a thermally conductive encapsulation of a polyurethane-ceramic compound to achieve a protection rating of IP 67 and are ideal for outdoor use.

Drywall profiles with flat design
That the Velden car dealership has petrol in its blood is immediately apparent from a glance into the showroom. Limited sports cars are presented here, less than 1,000 of which have been built. Just as unique as the cars is the lighting for the extension of the showroom, which was completed in 2019. Here, the linear accent lighting was integrated directly into the ceiling. Basis for this LED solution is the CATania 30 TB drywall profile from Barthelme. The profile can be installed flush and with almost no visible edge in drywall ceilings and walls. Due to the flat profile design, no consideration needs to be given to the substructure when installing in double planked drywall construction. In conjunction with an opal white diffuser and an LED strip with the appropriate LED pitch of max. 16 mm, a homogeneous light line such as the one at Autohaus Velden can be achieved. When illuminating vehicles, uniform light distribution is particularly important as it prevents unpleasant glare or reflections on the paint surface. Inside the profile, Barthelme LEDlight flex 16 10 RGBW High Efficiency LED strips ensure high light quality and enable variably adjustable colours. The white of the RGBW LED strips is optionally available in 2700 K, 3000 K and 4000 K.
